Game Server Storage Full? How to Free Up Disk Space

Find the files filling your game server storage. Check folder sizes, remove spare copies, and keep the world and files your server needs.

Find the files using storage before removing anything. Worlds, logs, mods, and spare upload archives are common places to check.

Find large files

  1. Open Files and check the Size column. Open relevant folders to inspect their files.
  2. For a complete folder’s size, connect with WinSCP through SFTP. Select the folder, open Properties, and press Calculate beside Size.
  3. Compare the results with the disk usage shown in your Konnect game panel. Contact support if the totals do not explain the usage.
Open the relevant folders in Files. The breadcrumb helps you keep track of the location you are inspecting.

Remove confirmed spare copies

  1. Identify unused upload archives, old downloads, or spare saves. Confirm the server no longer needs them.
  2. Download copies you want to keep and check the transfer finished before deleting them. An archive in the same server folder still uses that storage.
  3. Stop before changing active save files. Remove only confirmed spare files, then check usage and test the server.

Keep the current world, database files, required mods, and game binaries. If you cannot identify a large file, ask support with its path and size.

For rapidly growing logs, fix the repeated errors rather than just deleting the active log. Ask support about storage options if the current world needs more space.
