Your privacy matters
This policy explains our practices in plain language. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and any notices shown when information is collected.
Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to Konnect Hosting websites, billing and account interactions, game and cloud hosting services, customer support, live chat, and other services that link to this policy. “Konnect Hosting,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of those services.
For information we collect to operate our business, Konnect Hosting acts as the controller or business responsible for determining why and how that information is processed. For personal information a customer stores or processes through a hosted server, the customer generally determines the purpose of processing and Konnect Hosting acts as a service provider or processor on the customer’s instructions.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:
Account and identity information
Your name, username, email address, billing address, company or community name, account identifiers, authentication settings, and records used to verify or secure your account.
Billing and transaction information
Products ordered, invoices, payment status, transaction identifiers, tax information, refunds, disputes, and limited payment details made available by our payment processors, such as card brand and last four digits. Konnect Hosting does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or card security codes on its website.
Service and customer content
Server names, service configuration, IP addresses assigned to services, resource usage, backups, files, databases, console output, audit history, subuser information, and content you upload or generate while using a service.
Technical and activity information
Your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring and requested URLs, session activity, timestamps, cookie identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and security or diagnostic logs.
Support and communications
Support tickets, live-chat transcripts, Discord or community interactions directed to us, emails, attachments, call notes, troubleshooting details, survey responses, and other information you choose to provide.
Where information comes from
We collect information directly from you when you register, order, configure a service, open a ticket, use live chat, or otherwise communicate with us. We also collect information automatically from our website, control panels, servers, networks, fraud-prevention systems, cookies, and logs.
We may receive information from payment processors, billing and control-panel providers, infrastructure and network providers, analytics providers, identity or fraud-prevention services, Discord and other platforms you use to contact us, an organization that manages your account, or another person who adds you as an authorized user.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, administer, and secure accounts;
- process orders, payments, renewals, refunds, taxes, and billing notices;
- provision, operate, monitor, maintain, back up, troubleshoot, and improve services;
- provide support and communicate about incidents, maintenance, security, and service changes;
- detect fraud, abuse, malware, attacks, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms;
- measure website performance, understand feature usage, and improve user experience;
- comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce agreements; and
- send product or promotional communications where permitted by law and honor your communication choices.
We may aggregate or de-identify information so it no longer reasonably identifies you and use that information for analytics, security, capacity planning, and service improvement.
Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we process information when necessary to perform a contract with you; to comply with legal obligations; for legitimate interests such as securing, supporting, and improving our services, preventing fraud, and managing our business; or with your consent when consent is required. We balance legitimate interests against your rights and expectations.
You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already performed. Some information is required to create an account or deliver a service; without it, we may be unable to provide the requested service.
Customer servers and hosted data
Customers control the files, databases, logs, user records, and other content placed on their hosted services. Customers are responsible for providing required notices, obtaining permissions, responding to their users’ requests, selecting secure configurations, and ensuring their processing complies with applicable law.
Konnect Hosting may access or process hosted data when directed by the customer, when needed to provide support or maintain the service, to detect and address security or abuse, to protect the platform, or to comply with law. Access is limited to personnel and providers with a legitimate operational need. We do not use customer server content for advertising.
If you are an end user of a customer-operated server, direct privacy requests about that server to its owner first. We will assist our customer as required by applicable law and our contractual obligations.
How long we retain information
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing active services, maintaining security and fraud records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting accounting and tax requirements, and complying with law. Retention depends on the type of information, the sensitivity and risk, contractual commitments, backup cycles, and legal requirements.
Service data may be deleted promptly after cancellation, nonpayment, or termination as described in our Terms of Service. Residual copies can remain temporarily in backups or logs until overwritten through ordinary retention cycles. Transaction and legal records may be retained after account closure when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute, or compliance purposes.
You should export any information you need before cancelling a service. Deletion from an active system does not necessarily remove information immediately from disaster-recovery backups where isolation is impractical, but retained backup data remains protected and is not restored except for continuity or recovery.
Security and confidentiality
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Measures may include access controls, authentication, logging, network protections, restricted staff access, confidentiality obligations, updates, monitoring, and incident response procedures.
No internet transmission, system, or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a unique password, protecting authentication methods and API credentials, limiting subuser access, maintaining secure server configurations, and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
If we determine that a security incident requires notice under applicable law, we will notify affected parties and authorities in the manner and timeframe the law requires.
Data locations and international transfers
Konnect Hosting, our infrastructure, and our providers may process information in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those where you live.
When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, which may include adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Service location choices identify where primary hosted workloads run but do not necessarily limit where account, billing, support, security, or analytics information is processed.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain disclosures or targeted advertising; or appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
Submit a request through the Konnect Hosting billing portal. Describe the request and the account or email involved. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification from the account holder.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Rights are not absolute; we may retain or withhold information where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, another person’s rights, or the establishment or defense of claims. We will explain applicable limitations when responding.
Children and account eligibility
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A person who has not reached the age of legal majority where they live must use the services only with authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to the applicable terms.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us through the billing portal. We will investigate and delete the information when required.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, practices, or legal obligations. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated through your account or billing contact before they take effect.
Questions, complaints, legal notices, or privacy requests should be submitted through the Konnect Hosting billing portal. Include enough information for us to understand the request, but do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
You may also review our Terms of Service, which governs use of Konnect Hosting services.
