How to Change Egg Hatch Time on Your Palworld Server

Shorten the wait for Palworld eggs by changing PalEggDefaultHatchingTime in your server’s active settings file.

PalEggDefaultHatchingTime controls the time needed to incubate a Huge Egg, in hours. For example, a value of 1.000000 sets the base time to one hour. Other egg sizes also use incubation time.

Edit the hatch time

  1. Open your Palworld server in the Konnect game panel. Stop it and wait until it is offline.
  2. Open Files > Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini. A Windows or Proton server uses WindowsServer instead.
  3. Find PalEggDefaultHatchingTime inside the OptionSettings line.
  4. Change only its number, for example PalEggDefaultHatchingTime=1.000000. Keep the surrounding commas and parentheses.
  5. Save the file and start the server.

Use the file editor for settings without a Startup field. If your server has an Egg Hatch Time field, change it there so Startup does not overwrite your file edit.

Check the result

Join the server and put a new egg into an incubator. Check its countdown. Do not use an egg that was already incubating to judge a new setting.

If the time did not change, confirm you edited the active PalWorldSettings.ini, not DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini. Reopen the file after starting to check for a Startup override. An imported world can also carry settings in WorldOption.sav; keep that file and contact support rather than deleting it.

To move an existing world, read the Palworld world transfer guide.
